Hi everyone! My name is Marissa - I’m the founder of Big Zen Paws and I’m so happy you’re here!

Big Zen Paws was born out of love for my first dog as an adult — my sweet pit bull, Zen. As a professional dog groomer since 2013, my whole life has revolved around dogs. When I couldn’t find harnesses that were both cute and durable to haul around my 70 pound baby, I decided to create my own. What started as a passion for making walks safer and more stylish quickly grew into a brand built on heart, quality, and community.

Our name honors Zen, the pup who inspired it all. But our logo now carries the face of my sweet girl Kitana, our beloved girl who passed away suddenly and far too soon. Kitana’s spirit lives on in every design we create — a reminder that our dogs are not just pets, but family.

At Big Zen Paws, every harness is designed to celebrate that bond: safe, strong, and made with love for adventures big and small. 🐾✨
